Brenton Henry was on March 23, 2017 found guilty in the St. Andrew Parish Court of Breaches of the Customs Act, concerning the importation of a BMW motor vehicle, in a long running court battle between himself and the Revenue Protection Division (RPD).
He is to be sentenced on May 11, 2017.
In the same court, another defendant, Llewellyn Samuels, pleaded guilty to Uttering Forged Documents. The Court accepted his plea and he is to be sentenced on March 30, 2017. This is the second conviction obtained by the RPD against Mr. Samuels.
On September 2, 2016, Mr. Samuels, and his then co-defendant Delroy Matherson, pleaded guilty to the offences of Uttering Forged Documents and Conspiracy to Defraud. They were both sentenced to custodial sentences of eighteen months with Samuels receiving eighteen months on each charge to be served concurrently and Matherson receiving two years on each charge also to be served concurrently.
